Clubs at Mendota Elementary
100 Black Men Group
3rd-5th Grade Scholars. African American History Instruction in an effort to promote literacy proficiency and cultural awareness within a competitive learning environment. Scholars will be tasked with developing a creative project for a showcase in May to demonstrate their knowledge of African American history.
Changemakers Club
This weekly lunch club will inspire young leaders as they explore stories of individuals who have made a difference in the world, while working on meaningful projects to improve our school community. From fostering kindness to leading school-wide initiatives, Change Makers is all about empowering students to create positive change!
Field Day
Mendota kids showcase their athletic abilities during day long events and compete in games and other fun activities. Relax afterwards with treats from the parents.
Spelling Bee and Math Meet
Mendota kids compete with schools across the city in these annual events. We're consistently in the winning circle for the local math meet.
Strings Concert
Fifth graders show their talents at an annual concert for parents and friends.
